Greetings, all. My name is Jeremy Gill and I teach 9th and 10th grade English at Design Lab Early College High School in Cleveland, OH. Originally from the mountains of West Virginia, I have been living in Ohio for 3 years now. I graduated from West Virginia University in 2009 with a B.A. in English Literature/Creative Writing, followed by an M.A. in Secondary English Education in 2013.
In my spare time, I enjoy video games, football, and messing around with computers. If I wasn't teaching, I would be working with computers in some capacity. Or maybe I would be playing for the Oakland Raiders. Who knows?
My primary focus this year is to create polished, professional writers out of my students. No more text speak and no more grammatical errors. By the end of this class, my students WILL be able to write a professional essay, acceptable by traditional high school standards.
Also, we're going to read. Constantly. Prepare.
